Fall Fun

We had a very busy and fun day on Friday. The boys were out on fall break and we decided to take full advantage. First, we drove across town to go to the scout store. Tanner was so excited to pick out his uniform, book and all the other fun things he got to get. He has been looking forward to this day for a long time. We are very happy for him. Yeah Tanner!

Next, we headed out to Waterman's and played at the fall festival. There was so much to do and the kids had a blast. Tanner gave Brooklyn a ride on the go karts...A short ride since they were self propelled. I think that was Kadens favorite thing there. In between everything we did he wanted to run back to the go karts. There were carnival games, a petting zoo, a big pile of hay to climb, spinning rides and of course a hay ride to the pumpkin patch complete with a little pumpkin to take home. The big hit though was the giant dinosaur that ate pumpkins. Every 20 minutes or so they would turn it on and feed it a few pumpkins. It roared quite loudly and moved it's head all around. Brooklyn really liked it from a distance and in the safety of my arms. I asked her if she was going to feed her pumpkin to the dinosaur and I don't think she let go of it the rest of the time we were there. She hasn't stopped talking about the dinosaur that eats "pumpkinins" all weekend.
Vroom!
Chomp...Chomp...
Patiently waiting for his turn to ride. So cute!
She wanted to snuggle all the little goats.
Maybe not that end Brooklyn!

The hayride. Brooklyn wouldn't look at the camera no matter how hard we tried. :)

The hay slide was a hit.
After the festival we rushed back to town because we were signed up for Amazon John at the library. He brought all kinds of critters and creatures. I think the favorites were his HUGE great dane and the owl. Here is Tanner petting the tarantula and getting to make it give silk. I don't have many pictures because at this point in the day Brooklyn decided she was done and I spent most of the time trying to corral her. It was a great, fun, busy and tiring day. Tomorrow we are back to school and counting down the days to the next school break.
